The Principal called for a “Design and Construct” submission for their proposed Facility in 2012. After many years of submissions and lobbying the Board were successful in obtaining funding for their long overdue benchmark facility. The project included:
The stand-alone new build of 560m2 of security-monitored brick veneer construction contained 19 beds, interview rooms, group rooms, administration offices, a manager’s office, reception/waiting room, lounge room, dining room, kitchen facilities, an art store and undercover work area.
This new modern facility will complement the Stage 2 redevelopment of the existing pilot facility into a fully operational one-stop shop, whereby care patients can report, detox, reside, rehabilitate and process through to successful departure.
