ACorp Construction were awarded the contract for the New Stage 6a construction works and additions and alterations to the canteen at Goldfields Baptist College.
The existing canteen was demolished by ACorp to make way for a brand-new upgrade canteen complete with extensive floor and wall vinyl, stainless steel cabinet works and benchtops plus upgraded canteen equipment. This was carries out within an operational school where safety of the students and staff was paramount.
Stage 6a required a site clearance including the challenge of the removal and relocation of existing trees. Following the site clearance, the preparation for the slab and new concrete pavements we completed. The construction of the building utilized pre-fabricated structural timber frames cladded with Colourbond custom orb cladding and low level face brick cladding to match the adjacent structures. The new structure was purpose built to house 2 x classrooms, 1 x General Learning Area that was fitted with an operable wall to maximize space, plus store rooms, staff amenity area and ablutions.
Following the successful completion of Stage 6a. ACorp were then awarded the contract to construct the 43-bay asphalt car park, installation of new light poles, security fencing and gates as well as the surrounding landscaping package.
