Mandurah Retirement Village engaged Ecotec Architects to fully document and contract manage the construction of this 947 m2 new Dementia Wing of new building works that included

• Demolition
• Asbestos Removal
• Construction within an operational facility
• New high level Healthcare Building

Works included the break into the existing facility, undertake minor renovation and then connect the new works to the existing buildings.

New works included 20 ensuited occupant rooms, Communal Dining room, Kitchen facility, Library area, Fully enclosed courtyard, large secured storage and a Nurses station.

All works were high level Healthcare specification, with the added challenge of including the Architects flare of natural light and spaciousness throughout.

External finishes were to complement the rustic earlier style of the existing Village buildings.

The end product was testament to a well thought out good use of area and a successful blending in of the Village facilities as a whole.
