Minanalytical

ACorp Construction were awarded the contractor to construct the new shed for Minanalytical Laboratory Services in Kalgoorlie. This purpose-built shed was constructed to house state of the art laboratory equipment for the purpose of assay testing minerals, the first of its kind in Australia.

The 1250m2 new shed situated on a 3000m2 site at the rear of an existing Ausdrill facility in Kalgoorlie. The large shed was constructed using structural steel complete with Trimdek cladding to the roof and siding. Due to the nature and sensitivity of the new laboratory equipment the concrete slab was poured in 3 sections of various thicknesses to accommodate various equipment.

The work involved extensive earthworks for the construction of the shed and the creation of the car park. The existing area was completely stripped back, and new levels created to form the V Drain required to allow drainage to run to the road. The car park utilized 1755m2 of 30mm asphalt.

The project was successfully delivered on time and within budget.
